Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub is an American actress, comedian, and activist. She was born in the Soviet Union to Jewish immigrants and began her career after her move from Israel to the United States as a child actor. In AT&T commercials on television she played the role of Lily Adams (saleswoman) from 2013 until 2016 and into until 2020. In addition to commercial appearances, she was an actor in the series on the Yahoo! Screen science fiction show Other Space (2015) and played a part in a recurring role on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016-2017). Vayntrub is also the voice of Squirrel Girl in the Marvel Rising franchise since 2018 after she was chosen to voice Squirrel Girl in the unaired TV pilot of New Warriors. Vayntrub is a Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic (USSR) native and is a Jew. Her parents and her left antisemitism at two years old. They immigrated to the U.S. with their children. She began acting in Mattel Barbie commercials at the age of five due in part to her family's financial problems. Vayntrub briefly was a student at Beverly Hills High School. However, she dropped out of her sophomore year and obtained an GED. After that she went on to receive an Associate of Arts degree in communication from the University of California San Diego. Through the Upright Citizens Brigade she studied the art of improv comedy.
